Modular Design Exploration

In this project I was curious to explore modular components and how they can be used as a design tool. I developed a grid system and set of rules to follow. The result is a library of shapes that fit together in countless ways to create patterns. I further explored this concept by printing the shapes on wooden blocks so they can be used as a playful puzzle as well as using the shapes as the jumping off point to design a typeface.
